Mobile OBD testing for trucks at one Texas yard

Our certified technician provides OBD Clean Truck Check testing for the eligible vehicles available at your yard or terminal. A dispatcher outside Texas can arrange the visit with an on-site contact while the fleet continues its scheduled work. We serve San Antonio and Austin at the same per-truck rates, with no travel surcharge within our service area.

The useful starting point is a list of trucks due for testing, not the size of the whole fleet. Match each VIN to its deadline and planned California operation before choosing the appointment date.

Information for dispatch and the yard contact
ProvideWhy it matters
VIN, fuel type and engine model yearIdentifies each vehicle and whether it qualifies for our OBD-only testing service.
Testing deadline and California trip dateHelps schedule each unit within its testing window before dispatch, with room to address an unsuccessful test.
Units available at the same visitSets the tested-truck count used for volume pricing.
Yard access and on-site contactEstablishes safe parking, permission to work and access to the vehicles.
Recent repairs or cleared codesLets the operator discuss OBD readiness before trucks are staged.

Schedule the trucks, not just the appointment

  1. Identify the available units. Separate trucks on loads from trucks that can remain on site for testing.
  2. Agree on a testing order. Give the operator and yard contact the same vehicle list, location and arrival window.
  3. Keep access clear. Arrange parking and permission for inspection without interrupting loading or yard movements.
  4. Reconcile the visit. Record which VINs were tested, which were unavailable and which need follow-up.

Check the 90-day test-window guidance before staging trucks with different due dates. Appointment length depends on vehicle count and OBD readiness. Request a time estimate for your actual list rather than assuming a fixed duration per fleet.

Coordinate the visit.
Track every truck.

A shared appointment simplifies logistics. Each vehicle still has its own required test, result, and official compliance record. Build the visit around the units that will be present.

Fleet pricing conditions

2–4 trucks tested at one location during one appointment: $140 each. Five or more: $125 each. A single truck uses the $150 tier.

The same testing rates apply in Austin and San Antonio, with no travel surcharge within our service area. Retesting is free within our working service area. Mobile travel is included within our working service area, and retests are free there. If fewer trucks are tested, the rate follows the actual count. See quote terms and subtotal examples.

Records after the visit

Request the tested VIN list and test records, then compare each result with CTC-VIS. The fleet owner still manages reporting, state payments and unresolved requirements. A shared appointment does not create a single passing result for the entire fleet.

Fleet testing questions

Can our dispatcher arrange this from another state?

Yes. Use the truck’s actual Texas location, arrival date and local time. Identify the person who will provide yard and vehicle access.

What if one truck is not ready or does not pass?

Track that unit separately and request its findings. Repairs, readiness and retesting are handled for the affected VIN; another truck’s result cannot replace it. CARB explains result messages in its test-results FAQ.

Can you test every truck in a mixed-age fleet?

Only vehicles eligible for OBD testing are within our service. We do not provide opacity testing or non-OBD inspections. Send the fuel and engine model year for each unit; see our OBD eligibility guide.
