Austin / I-35 / Mobile OBD testing
Our certified technician comes to your Austin truck yard, terminal or agreed accessible stopping location for California Clean Truck Check OBD emissions testing. Owner-operators can arrange one truck; fleet managers can coordinate several eligible vehicles at one location.
Austin uses the same rates as San Antonio: $150 for one truck, $140 each for 2–4 trucks and $125 each for 5 or more tested together. There is no travel surcharge within our Austin service area. Retests are free within our working service area.
If your next load takes you to California, arrange the OBD test while your truck is in Austin. Choose a yard or accessible stop where the vehicle can remain stationary for the device connection. The appointment includes the OBD emissions-data test, result submission and a record for your VIN.
Tell us about recent repairs, a replaced battery or cleared codes before the visit so OBD readiness can be discussed. The test is separate from Texas vehicle inspections and DOT safety inspections. See the OBD preparation guide.
Group the trucks available for testing at the same location during one appointment. Give the yard contact the VIN list and testing order, with safe parking and access to each truck. Volume pricing follows the number actually tested together, not the fleet’s total roster.
Our service is OBD-only. Diesel engines from 2013 onward and alternative-fuel engines from 2018 onward fall within CARB’s OBD groups; confirm the engine information for every unit. Older engines needing non-OBD inspections require another provider. Prepare a fleet visit.
Austin routes can involve I-35, US 183 or SH 71. Choose the testing stop around the truck’s actual yard, terminal or route location; these corridors do not imply a fixed testing site. A driver or dispatcher can arrange an Austin appointment from another state. Use where the truck will actually stop, its direction of travel, local arrival window and California trip date. Agree on safe access and permission to test before changing dispatch instructions.
Choose Austin when it fits the truck’s existing route; choose San Antonio when that stop works better. Both use the same rates without a travel surcharge within our service area. The California-bound checklist explains what dispatch and the driver need before the visit.
